It's official. Schmoo is a Rhythm Roper. After patiently waiting through the weekend and an extra couple of days, I finally caved and called the head coach tonight to get the final word on whether they had space for Schmoo. They had promised an update at the end of the weekend, so I figured I wasn't being too anxious calling on Wednesday. The coach had lots of great things to say. They had decided they would keep all four of the new kids who had tried out, but it sounds like they were really impressed with Schmoo. As probably the youngest kid in the group, she shows great skipping promise! She's a natural, the coach told me. So starting next week (we have this week off since we're off to Cowtown tomorrow and will miss the Friday practice), she'll be a skipping girl on Mondays and Fridays after school. It means a definite trip to Victoria in April for the provincial competition and we'll see where it goes from there! I'm so proud of my little girl....and even more excited that she's found something that is her very own!!
That's all for now....still lunches to be made and a few final things to get organized before a morning of work/school and then the snowy road to Cowtown for my cousin C's wedding on Saturday!!
