We did it, we did it, we did it, yeah, we did it!!! What, you ask? Climb Pulpit! Both kids, this afternoon. That was after this "day in the life of a mother"....
Wake up (late, no alarm)
Go to work for an hour
Pick up coffee and treats
Come home
Spend morning cleaning Schmoo's room.....sorted and organized all her clothes, completely reorganized and purged her bookshelves....while waiting for the cable guy and sister
Ordered pizza just in time for the cable guy to show up and then Auntie E and Uncle R to say good-bye (needless to say the pizza was not so fresh when I finally picked it up 45 minutes later)
Take both children for 2.5 hour hike up Pulpit Rock with three other moms and five other children. Schmoo managed to sprint up most of the way with the two other 6 year olds (both boys). Bean was a harder sell to get to the top, but the Dairy Queen bribe worked wonders and I didn't have to give him a piggyback at all!
Pick up Dairy Queen for my two hiking stars and drop them off at home with 5 minutes to spare before returning to town for my school meeting at 6pm!
Home at 9pm after meeting to chat online with a couple friends and update blog!
Whew....I'm ready for a good night's sleep!
