What a week

My days seem to be getting shorter....what a week we've had. Team Indi has been and gone from Cowtown. We had a fantastic visit, despite the cooler, rainy weather. The kids all got along "swimmingly" and the parents had lots of time to catch up. A special thanks to Grandma Lady who came in on Wednesday night and enable us to go out on a double date to the local lounge so Uncle D could eat cabbage rolls and Auntie V could have her liver and onions. We managed to sneak in some beach time. The kids didn't seem to care that it was cold and overcast, as they stripped down to their underwear and went swimming in the ice cold lake. We got a ride on the tram and took a mini-road trip up the lake to the hot springs for a dip. Our hopes for a four girl pose in matching dresses didn't work - but we did manage to get all four girls in the same picture together.
This weekend was about trying to get in some last minute time with Auntie E and Uncle R before they head back to Utah tomorrow. We spent some time all together on Sunday up at their property and had a final meal together.

A visit from Grandma Lady also meant that Papa and I were able to sneak off on our own on Sunday morning to hike to the flagpole on the mountain across from our house. It's a hike we've been hoping to do together and with an in-house babysitter, we were able to sneak it in. We had a great 3 hour hike up and back and even found an appropriate rock to take our own picture.
