The Olympics have taken over our house....or Olympic viewing has taken over our house. We have the TV on most afternoons and evenings now, checking in to see what Canada's up to at the Winter Olympics. Both kids are eager to watch and cheer Canada along. Or maybe they're just happy for some extra mid-week TV time. Their Olympic mascots are their constant companions these days too. We gave them each a bigger sized one for Valentine's Day and both were ecstatic!
Otherthan the Olympics, life feels like it's in warp speed. We seem to be juggling extra responsibilities these days with various tenant issues on top of our regular slew of day to day life. Hopefully things will be sorted out and on track so we can leave home with a clear conscience next month for our spring break holiday. My to-do list of things has been started and this week I'll be trying to get a jump on preparations so that I'm not overwhelmed next week. One thing on the to do list is to organize some kind of birthday party for Bean before we go!!
The sun has been out for the past couple of days which has been a real treat. Today at church we were in charge of the kids' liturgy so we had everyone plant a sunflower seed in their own pot so that they could watch it grow during Lent. Bean was more than happy to plant the extra pots later today while Schmoo was at a playdate! He's got a green thumb, just like his Papa.
