Again, I'm late with my update, but wow was it a late one last night. We went to the Chuckwagons last night and stayed for the whole Grandstand Show and Fireworks. It was a fabulous show, one of the best I think! We got home sometime after midnight, so you can only imagine what my babysitting bill was!
On Friday, we found a Mate's Bed on line at the Kijiji site. A family down south in Copperfield, really close to the old McKenzie Towne house had listed the bed for sale. We got a SMOKIN deal, it was originally from one of the fancy kids stores in town, solid wood, in awesome shape and comes with a nice headboard display area for all dude's junk and two drawers underneath for extra storage. We put it together on Saturday and picked up a mattress from IKEA for it. All told, we spent less than $400 so el cheapo ( husband ) is pleased. He and the kids are now off at the bottle depot as we start the long and painful process of clearing out our garage. In three weeks, it's being demolished and a new one is being built!
Bike camp begins tomorrow for the dude, so that's 5 mornings of hard core biking, he'll be a pro by the end of the week.
It's a bit early to call Mrs. P, so tomorrow's post will be more about her!
