The kids stayed home for some quality time with Uncle C while I snuck off to the gym. I have to admit my energy level was pretty low, but it felt good to do my class and head home. I got cleaned up and then all of us went into town to the bakery to meet Papa for lunch before Uncle C and his friend C headed home. The kids were in fine form, acting silly for our guests. Schmoo in particular was immediately taken with Uncle C's friend C and insisted on sitting beside her at lunch time and holding her hand as we strolled the sidewalk after lunch. We said good-bye, after a visit to a shop and Uncle C got new books for the kids, and then headed up the valley to retrieve Airlie. Auntie E and the gang weren't home, having gone to Uncle C's house to pick up their new storage trailer that Grandma Lady bought last week for their new adventure, so we loaded Airlie up and headed straight back home.
The rest of the afternoon was quiet. I tucked both kids into bed and they both fell asleep. Thank goodness as my own body was screaming out for a nice afternoon nap. We obviously all had some catching up to do after this past weekend. We were all waking up just before 5pm when Papa returned home from work. He made them supper and then settled in with the computer to watch a Toronto soccer game, so I took the kids out to the park for an hour to run off some of their extra energy from sleeping. We went up to the park where we had pictures with Nana and Auntie J (and went to the outdoor pool with Team Indi). The pool was closed and the playground was empty so we had a great time having the whole place to ourselves. The kids had fun running around the paths around the flowerbeds and then we went for an adventure walk down the hill and back up again. We returned home at 7:30pm for bedtime. Papa and I had a nice dinner out on the front deck and I've been working away on my accounting course while he's been busy making videos for Grandad.
