Team Indi's visit continues. The last two days have been jam packed with fun in the hot, hot sun! Yesterday started with Auntie V and Uncle D loading up all five kids and heading out to the local provincial park in the morning. They were gracious enough to take along my kids so I could sneak in an aerobox class - my usual Monday morning sweat fix. I found them at lunch time heading back to the van to get away from the mosquitos that they had found in the forest. Everyone was in the parking lot in the van, except Auntie V and Bean who were taking their time walking back. We loaded up and made our way to the playground for lunch and then some time down by the beach. H and Bean wanted nothing more than to wade around in the water trying to catch minnows. Forest rule.Thank goodness for the buckets in the van! Schmoo found a couple of her friends from preschool who were already busy being fishermen. We headed back to town around 1:30pm to attempt to have the children sleep. Schmoo managed to sleep, but Bean did not.

Papa was at home finishing his work and getting the camping gear organized for the dad's night out with the kids. They were all packed up and out the door by 4:30pm, leaving Auntie V, baby Z and I to wander through town and eat pizza before heading home for a very quiet and leisurely ladies evening watching the Lost finale...again. Reports from the camping excursion were good. They all stayed up late enjoying the beach. There were even fireworks that one of the other campers put on. They enjoyed a hot dog and marshmallows dinner over the open fire. Everyone was in bed around 11pm!! The morning activities included a war over the individual cereal boxes and Papa managed to catch a fish! Mama, Auntie V and baby Z enjoyed a leisurely morning with a trip to the coffee shop to enjoy the sunshine. Papa found us there and we resumed our motherly duties.
Uncle D had all four kids down at the pancake breakfast when we caught up to them. We loaded everyone up and headed down to the Canada Day festivities at the park. It was a great couple of hours wandering around to the various booths. The kids even won a couple of penny prizes for throwing beanbags into holes and H managed to pop a balloon with a dart. Papa and Uncle D managed to find us in the masses and after a quick tour of the sandcastle contest we packed up the tired crew and headed home for naps. The rest of the afternoon was spent getting all the children to nap - some went more quickly than others....Bean being the last one to fall asleep on his bedroom floor. Auntie V and I snuck out to pick up groceries and came home for a bit more quiet time before the dinner activities started. It's going to be a late night tonight as we've promised the kids a trip back to the park to enjoy the fireworks at 10:30pm!

Potty update - there's more success happening....Bean asked to go for both a pee and poo while we were out at the park today. We did have one accident at home, but he's enjoying the freedom of peeing on the grass in the backyard.
Full photos of the Team Indi visit to follow by email once they leave....too many great pictures to put on the blog.
