It was movie night tonight. The long anticipated "Monsters vs. Aliens" opened in town, so off we went as a whole family. I spread the word amongst Schmoo's friends' parents and got some takers, so Schmoo had someone to share popcorn and candy with. Before we left home, she complained about me inviting TOO many friends. She was concerned about figuring out who to sit with and beside. But she managed to figure it out. Bean snuggled up with me and Papa sat behind us with his friend J, who was there with his kids. Luckily both kids had responded to me request for a nap this afternoon, so they were reasonably happy and not over tired.
The other highlights from today.....Bean and I went to the school mass today where the kindergarten class got up and sang at the end. Very cute. Two little girls carried the whole performance. Schmoo's lips didn't even move. I forgot my camera, of course. Not interested in singing, I guess. Bean and I then went for a coffee date with a couple other parents and another little boy until Schmoo was done at noon. Then we had sushi lunch with her "best friend" K and his mom. A busy day.
Another busy one tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get some good pictures from the kindergarten party that's happening in the afternoon.
PS - Apparently Schmoo is now too cool to have her picture taken for things like the one here. Too many big kids and potential friends milling around to see her having her picture taken with a poster. Thankfully Bean is still a happy participant.
