Is it summer yet?

I'm dreaming of this.....

How long a week can feel. It's seem like forever already since I was walking in my sandals, shorts and tanktop, concerning myself with how much sun I was exposing on my skin. Instead today I've been bundled up and dodging raindrops. March is such a miserable time of the year. You're teased with slightly warmer temperatures, but the yard is half covered in ice packed snow or mud. It's dusty from the gravel on the roads and the sidewalks are slippery in the morning. Good thing Vegas is only 2 short weeks away. Maybe this time I'll return and it will be warm and truly spring like.

This week has cruised by. It's already Thursday and my work week is behind me. Papa and the kids had another good day while I was at work. They did fun things like returning the recycling and, despite my moaning above, spent some time out in the garden. Sounds like our new neighbour and his two dogs is moving on already. He's headed north to the Yukon and looking to rent his house out. Great....I wonder what we'll get on this side. We've also learned that our neighbours behind us are selling too. Let's hope we don't get totally surrounded by loud partying folk!

We're back on track with our regular routine of weeknight activities. Papa is at his early soccer game and I'll sneak out when he gets back for my God group. I've started to pack things up for our trip to Vancouver tomorrow for War Amps. The weather was hit and miss today, so hopefully we can get out (and back) of the airport. Bean is wavering on whether he actually wants to go. Schmoo keeps talking about all the things she's going to do with Papa - rent movies, go swimming, go on playdates - and I think he likes the sounds of all of it. Hopefully he'll enjoy spending some quality time with his Mama!

Midnight...who thought drinking a Latte at 7pm on the way to Superstore was a good idea? Raise your hand! Hope you are comfortably snoozing in a cozy hotel bed right now...I love hotel beds...the pillows so fluffy and the duvet so warm and toasty. Enjoy Van!
