100th post

Wow....I'm up to 100 posts on this blog. Who knew I would have so much to tell?! It was absolutely beautiful here today. Like summer. At lunchtime I even got a few minutes out on the front deck with my feet up to read my book. A few minutes was all, but still a nice feeling to enjoy some sunshine.

We had another busy day. My original plans were quickly changed when we received a birthday party invitation at gymnastics class. Bean's friend F's little sister turns one this week so we were invited to her birthday party in the afternoon. Auntie E was invited too and we got to catch up with lots of other moms and kids we haven't seen over the winter. Gymnastics was good. Bean was happy to be back in action, but seemed to play a bit shy too. He had one altercation with a little boy who is always instigating altercations, but nothing serious. His tears were soon dried and he was running around trying to find me playing hide and seek.

We picked up Schmoo from preschool and headed home for a couple of hours. The kids have been focussed on playing birthday party the last couple of days. They wrap up a whole bunch of toys in their blankets and clothes and then sing happy birthday to one of their stuffies. When they're finished one round, they start all over again. Schmoo has even taken to making up goodie bags for all the stuffies that attend. The kids reached their saturation point with one another after lunch and went to their rooms for quiet time before the birthday party. Auntie E arrived with her kids and cousin I went downstairs for a nap. It was great fun to have a chat with Auntie E and a snuggle with happy baby R. We even got the exersaucer out for him to play in. Bean managed to have a sleep and Schmoo was happy to play with Baby R.

We all headed out around 3pm for the birthday party. The kids had fun crawling around in their dirt pile. Schmoo was the only big girl there - all the rest of the kids were boys and most of them were either babies or Bean's age. There was lots to eat and cake and ice cream, of course. We packed up around 4:30pm and headed home. Papa was waiting for us and when he finished up his work he went out in the garden with the kids until it was bathtime. What a treat to not have to worry about supper tonight. The bath was definitely needed as there was a thin layer of sand and dirt at the bottom of the tub when we drained it out. Papa headed out to his weekly soccer game and after bedtime, I settled in with the computer to watch the season finale of Desperate Housewives on the internet.

You certainly have a busy time with your children.
Love to read about their creative imaginations re- the stuffies
b-day parties.
Slept too longthis evening and so am not able to settle down yet for th night.
However, the rests certainly make mt eye feel better.
Have condo fever big time these past couple days.
