Papa got up earlier than me to watch soccer and I enjoyed the benefit of the time change by lying in bed a bit longer. I finally got out of bed in time to eat and get organized to go to church. There were lots of reasons for prayer today and it was timely that we celebrated All Souls Day today. The priest's homily about death was somewhat comforting. Schmoo was happy to be at Sunday school with a few of her friends from school and we even sat with her kindergarten teacher, with the principal sat behind us watching Schmoo practicing tying her shoelaces.
We picked up a few things at the store and then headed home for the afternoon. Papa was busy preparing our moose meat roast for dinner and Bean was finishing up his movie. The kids spent a bunch of time decorating our package for cousin I, who will celebrate her 3rd birthday later this month. Some of their friends are headed down to Utah this week and will take our package with them. The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to quiet time. We all managed to have a big sleep, catching up from our busy week. Supper was great and it was nice to sit together to eat.
After dinner we had an impromptu visit from a friend and his two kids, the same age as ours. The little ones go to preschool together and were super happy to see eachother. They all raced around together for an hour, playing hide and seek and Hulabaloo while we had a visit. They headed home around 7:30pm and it was straight to bed for Schmoo and Bean. Schmoo is nursing a sore arm that she got when she wiped out on the floor during their games. I've been out for a walk around the neighborhood with Airlie. Luckily the rain has stopped for the time being and it's nice and warm out. Papa is getting ready to go out at 9pm to a concert. He's all packed up and ready to try to fly to Vancouver tomorrow en route to England on Wednesday. Great news that Grandma Lady is headed back to help me out while he's away, so we'll be excited to see her on Tuesday. Safe travels!
