The soccer training continues

Tonight was my second attempt at soccer. With Papa out of town (he left for Vancouver this morning), I was able to organize our teenage babysitter to come down to the house to babysit for a couple of hours. It was an easy job for her. Both kids were fast asleep by the time she arrived at 6:45pm, after a busy day at school. Schmoo was also out all afternoon at her friend M's house for a playdate, so she asked to be put to bed first, without even a story. Poor thing was exhausted. Bean was a bit more eager for a story and a snuggle, but without a nap this afternoon, he too was fast asleep within minutes.

The soccer practice was great. We learned defensive drills today and had another 10 minute game. We had less people out tonight, so a longer game would have been out of the question. I don't think we even had enough people for a proper game. My legs are aching, but at least I was smart about stretching more tonight. I've come home and had my protein burst - an egg and bacon sandwich and am headed to bed. Grandma Lady's plane has landed and Uncle C has been dispatched to pick her up, so hopefully they connect. It will be great to see her, whenever she arrives tomorrow.

Papa got off to Vancouver today without any flight concerns. He has a busy couple of days ahead with work before he boards a plane for England again on Wednesday night.
