A sad good-bye

With a heavy, heavy heart, we learned of Grandad's passing today. I am thankful for the 11 years that I knew him. I am thankful that he knew both Schmoo and Bean. I am thankful that I will see him everyday in Bean's profile and ruffled bed head. I am thankful for his generosity in helping Papa and I in so many ways along the way. I am thankful for all the ways he made me laugh like the English sayings he taught me and stories he had to tell. I am thankful for the wonderful holiday memories we all shared - Wales, Jasper, the Rocky Mountaineer to name a few. Rest in peace Grandad. Your family and friends will miss you terribly. We love you.

Our prayers and hearts are with Nana tonight. Know that we wish we were closer and that Papa will be there soon.
