So that's what a productive day feels like.....

Today feels like it was a first. I feel like I'm on top of my workload. That I got things accomplished and that I have a real handle on what comes next. Then again once I tidy up the last few strings on my work from July, I'll have August to tackle next week, so who knows how I'll feel. I also have month end to deal with on Saturday night. But atleast this month I feel somewhat confident about what needs to be done before the night begins. So I'm making progress.....

The kids had good days at school too. Schmoo got an invite from her friend E to go to the pantomime play of Red Riding Hood in town tomorrow night, so she's pretty excited. That means a big sleep tomorrow afternoon so she can stay up late. Bean was full of energy when we picked him up too. They were in the gym racing around on the trikes and he was happy to show off his two crowns that he's been busy decorating all week. Lucky kid...he's in two different preschool classes so always gets to make two of the craft projects.

We came home for some down time and supper. All three of us snuggled up on the big green chair to have Schmoo read us from her new reading book. They are little books, about 6 pages long with two or three word sentences that they have to read, using their reading finger. They can usually determine the words based on the picture but I help her figure it out the first time and then we typically read the book through again at least one more time. Papa came home in time for some snuggles and bed time. He made a wonderful pesto pasta supper and is now snuggled up on the couch watching hockey (a first for this season, I think) and I'm passing time till my "God" group meets later on.
