Just a quick 5 hour jaunt up the highway yesterday and back today to pick up Schmoo from her week away with Grandma Lady. Somehow 5 hours in the car felt much longer this time with kids, than it did in May when I went to Kelowna and back with Nana. Still nice to get out of town and have a quick visit with Grandma Lady, Uncle C and S.Here's some pics from the last few days - the highlights from our visit to Golden and Bean's week at home without Schmoo (quiet time with Papa, patio dinner with an old family friend, P from Salt Spring Island, hot dog supper with friends at the local campground, picnic in the park with Mama, Papa and Airlie)....the lunches are made with pantry scraps for the kids' lunches at summer camp tomorrow as our cupboards are bare from being away. A full day of work tomorrow ahead.
