It's still hot here, so we've been busy at the beach and the spray park. Today we packed up our friends C & H and their mom D and drove all the way to the next town, to their spray park. A visit to that town means a visit to McDonalds! All four kids loved their Happy Meals and I got to order a Big Mac with no meat for my vegetarian friend. Who knew you could order that....or that you would want to order that. It was super hot and the kids had a great time running through the sprinklers and visiting the playground.
I had a great trip to the beach on Sunday with my friend A who is in town visiting. She was one of my very first friends here. We were pregnant at the same time (me with Bean, she with G). They've been back in the States since January and were here on holidays. Cousin I got to tag along with us too and we discovered a brand new beach with a huge sandbar, so the kids could walk out and splash around. Reminded me of being at Buffalo Lake, just colder water.
We have another "home day" tomorrow and then back to work / summer camp on Thursday. My friend D and I are throwing together an impromptu girls trip down to Spokane this weekend, so we've been busy getting ourselves organized. Sounds like we'll be shopping til we drop while the dads get some quality time with their munchkins.PS - Thanks to Team Indi for their patio update!
