Friday was crazy. A beautiful boot camp in the morning and home to get washed up and ready for the day. Bean was due for his spring trip to the barber, so we got the before and after picture of his shaggy to slick do.

Our morning run around included the post office, the barber, the candy store, the clothes store (big outdoor sale), the dollar store, lunch at A & W and grocery shopping where we found Papa and Nana who had been up to the nursery to pick up Papa's garden plants. We came home for quiet time so Mama and Nana could finish getting the food organized before everyone arrived at 3pm. Schmoo managed to have a cat nap, which I'm sure put her in a much better mood for the party.

The party was a big success. We ended up with 9 kids, including Schmoo and Bean. They enjoyed the activities provided (chalk drawing on the driveway, puzzle creations and the musical chairs, egg find and obstacle course games that I put together). Everyone got along great and ate up the pizza and veggies for supper and the Bolt cake! The kids didn't even miss the "gift opening" portion that we had removed by requesting toonies and food bank donations instead. We had everyone cleared out by 6pm and after a big bath for both kids, tucked them into bed for the night. Papa whipped up some food for dinner and I finished off watching Grey's Anatomy.

Today was another great spring day. The sun came and went, but we were all in shorts so the temperature was just right. I was disappointed when my body woke up at 5:15am, right on cue for boot camp, but on the wrong day. I managed to roll over and go back to sleep until the kids came in at 6am. Nana and I took the kids down to Wal-Mart after breakfast so Schmoo could go "shopping" with her toonies. It was no surprise that she picked another Littlest Pet Shop set to add to her collection. We picked up some new clothes for Bean and then went for ice cream, on Nana's request. The kids ran off some of their extra energy at the big park for a bit before we came home for lunch.

The rest of the day has been quiet. Papa has enjoyed being out in the garden almost all day and has everything planted. Schmoo even helped get the carrots in. Bean had a nice big snooze in the afternoon, which he obviously needed because it took him about 1/2 hour to get out of bed when I finally woke him up. I got to sneak back into town to peruse the sidewalk sales before coming home to make dinner for the kids. We had an adventure day planned tomorrow, so will be out and about!
