I'll take the Frenchman....

It's been a long week, full of activity. We had family supper last weekend. It was great - 6 kids screaming around our back yard while the adults chatted and took turns holding the new baby. If only I could unleash that level of noise on our neighbours when they're trying to sleep. But alas, our noise is quietly tucked into bed by 7pm most nights.

We had our usual rounds of swimming and soccer this week and on Thursday, Papa headed off at 6am for his annual sales meeting in Sun Peaks. He won't be back until Sunday night. I worked in the morning and then Nana and I headed off at break neck speed to Kelowna where we met up with Grandma Lady, Sam and our friend Norma for an Evening with Il Divo. It was absolutely spectacular....the sound, the sights. Not quite as cosy and intimate as when I saw the Canadian Tenors at home last year, but still breath taking. Amazing Grace was the favourite amongst our group, but my vote was for Alleluia. At the pub after the show, the ladies discussed the merits of the various gentlemen in the group.....an Spaniard, a Swissman, a Frenchman and an American. Grandma Lady and I both opted for the Frenchman!

We had a nice breakfast all together today and after a quick spin at the mall, I left them all behind and sped home to my schmoogies. They were both happy to see me and I thought we could tolerate a picnic at the park and a round of soccer with Schmoo's Friday night group. All was well of course, until we got home. Baths and bedtime were expedited and I'm hoping to find my way to bed soon too. Let's hope that the neighbour doesn't have another 4:30am soccer game in his backyard like he did last night for my friend D!
