Full speed ahead

I'm really hoping that things are going to slow down a bit next week. This past week has been insane with activity and I'm feeling a bit out of control. We seem to move from one thing to the next and with a house full of people, with the children outnumbering the adults, I feel like I can hardly keep up with the energy level. At least Uncle R is on his way and we'll be able to balance out the kid to adult ratio tomorrow. Some other positives:

- I think I finished my Christmas shopping today. Auntie E and I ventured out in the freezing cold last night to enjoy some late night shopping at Wal-Mart. It was gloriously quiet and we wandered the aisles with ease, picking out the last remaining items on our list. I also headed for the local kid store today and managed to score 10% off the Thomas stuff for Bean! Papa also decided to cave in to his desire for a new fridge. So we ordered it today and should get it early next week. That means our white fridge is moving downstairs to match Grandma Lady's new white stove (which arrived safely yesterday) and the suite fridge is moving on to a new home.

- We semi-celebrated Baby R's birthday yesterday. I can't believe the little guy is one already. Auntie E made a nice big chocolate cake that is patiently waiting in the downstairs fridge for Uncle R's arrival so we can all eat it together!

- I've committed to only working half days next week, and there's only going to be two of them. I'm looking forward to 6 whole days off to just hang out and be with my family. Speaking of family, we've received confirmation that Uncle C and his lady are headed this way on Monday to hang with the insanity for a few days until Christmas! What a full house it will be!!

I think a family outing tomorrow is definitely in order. The cold temperatures are keeping us housebound and I think we're all going a bit stir crazy.

Thanks for getting us a new fridge and stove for our home away from home. Can we also get an Espresso Machine while you're on this upgrading kick?
