The cousins have arrived. After a long two day journey, they pulled up around 3:30pm this afternoon, ready to play. Baby R took a little bit of time to warm up to us, but Cousin I was full of smiles and ready to go! Schmoo was in her room for quiet time when they arrived and was happy to entertain Cousin I until Bean woke up from his nap. Bean and Cousin I quickly fell into their gang of two three year olds after supper, making a club behind the Lazy Boy and moving half of his bedroom there. Schmoo was content to be the big helper, but felt a little bit left out when they started running around together. There's obviously a bit of relearning to do about cousin sharing and inclusion.
It was great to see Auntie E too. The kids went to bed at their usual time and we had a great catch up. Even took Airlie for a walk around the block. We've got at least three weeks of time together, which will be great! Papa is up and off to Cowtown early tomorrow to meet up with Uncle C to see Metallica, returning on Friday. It's a long day for me and the kids tomorrow, but exciting to think we'll have our Cousin club waiting for us when we get home!
