The Activities

Today started earlier than our usual Monday schedule. Bean started calling around 6:30am and Schmoo was still fast asleep in her bed when I went into to get her at 7:15am. Funny how some days she wakes up when Bean is calling and other days she doesn't. We had to be at the preschool early as I was scheduled to attend their board meeting. I know, I know, another board commitment. This is one is far less involved, with a meeting only every two months. Both kids were able to play downstairs during the meeting and Bean and I were gone by 8:45am to get to the gym in time for my class.

I'm trying very hard to avoide getting sick at the moment and hoping that getting to the gym most days will help me to sweat it out. I had a good workout and did a couple of errands with Bean before going back to pick up Schmoo. Home for a quick lunch and then out again for Schmoo's gymnastics class. Again, Bean and I managed to sneak in a couple of errands - always something to be done before settling in to watch Schmoo for the last 1/2 hour of her class.

We came home and both kids settled into their room for a nap. I think after being under the weather for most of the weekend, they were both ready for a catch up nap. They didn't get up until 5pm so there's no rush for bedtime tonight.

Thoughts on the Day

It's amazing how much easier it is to do errands with only one child. Bean still roams around, but still stays close enough that I don't have to yell out to him all the time. He's doing this cute little "meowing" at the moment. He makes funny little noises all the time when he's playing or talking to you. He's attached to two stuffed seals that used to be mine at the moment and loves playing and making them talk - ARP!
