And so the week begins

Another manic Monday. Our Monday routine doesn't leave much room for exciting stories. Schmoo had a good morning at preschool. Bean and I snuck into the gym daycare again. Mondays seem to be their busy days and I can't get there until a bit later because I drop Schmoo off first. We end up having to wait until there's an opening and sometimes I don't get into my class on time. Today our friends C & H were there too, so Bean was super happy to go into the daycare. I had a good workout with D at the aerobox class and then after a shower and quick trip to Safeway, we went to pick up Schmoo.

Gymnastics was good today. Bean had fun running around the viewing area with another little boy around the same age who is there watching his sister with his mom. We came home for quiet time and Bean actually settled into a nap. It took a bit of time, but he did eventually sleep. I spent most of the afternoon sorting out plans for me and Auntie E to take the kids to Edmonton at the end of this week. Our dad's cousin isn't well and it feels like the right time to go and see him as he is in pallative care now. So I was busy organizing places to stay and people to see. We'll stay with Team Indi on our Cowtown stopovers and have quick trip to to Edmonton overnight.

The rest of the day has been quiet. The kids spent their playtime after supper and Babar pretending they were having a sleepover with two new kids - the girl that does gymnastics and her brother. Pretty cute to watch them organize their stuff and talk to these imaginary friends. Bean amazed us all at bedtime with his ability to soap his own hand. He used his little arm to push the plunger on the soap dispenser into his regular hand. Something I thought he'd have troubles with and he figured out his own way to do it! Another busy day of running around tomorrow!
