Is anybody out there?

I may be writing to a limited audience tonight. Nana has started her journey to get here. Auntie J was scheduled to pick her up and bring her back to London for a sleepover before they head out tomorrow. Grandma Lady is en route as well, overnighting in Cowtown before some appointments tomorrow. Our quiet house tonight will be a very different place come Saturday when everyone will be here. It's very exciting though! I've been busy today getting the suite organized and cleaned for everyone's arrival. Tomorrow will be an upstairs cleaning day as the kids will be at daycare. Papa managed to clean out the van after the disaster that was four children travelling in it last week.

The weather was beautiful here today. A high of 17C...it was like summer. Too bad it is forecasted to plummet to 4C tomorrow with rain all day and the potential for snow on Saturday. All we can wish for is high cloud so at least Nana and Auntie J's flight can land. The long range forecast looks better, with sun returning on Sunday. We had a great play out in the backyard this afternoon with our friend C & H. They came over after the Thursday morning mother's group for lunch. It's always high energy when the four kids are together, but they sure love being together. The shift from Schmoo and C, the big kids playing together has really started to happen. It was mostly the boys playing together and the girls playing together today. Bean is like a little sponge with C. He loves to mimic C's boy energy and antics. They all were enraptured with a big fat worm that they found in the grass today when they were running around outside.

Both kids had a big sleep this afternoon. Schmoo was especially cute when she came out to tell me and Papa that she was going to sleep and I was to turn off her alarm clock and come and give her a snuggle. Of course, a nap meant a long drawn out bedtime. She was still kicking around in her room when I returned from the gym and my hair cut at 8:30pm. I left the house around 4:45pm for the gym. Not the greatest class, but nice to get out and moving. I then had almost an hour to myself before I had my haircut. I'm ready for spring now with shorter curly locks. Papa had his friend over to watch the hockey game. Schmoo kept coming out of her room to complain that Papa kept waking her up. Their team lost, so the hockey game this weekend could mean the end of the playoffs for Papa's team, the Flames.
