And the weekend begins

Today didn't stop. Papa was up and gone by 6:30am on his roadtrip to Cowtown. I could hear Bean rummaging as Papa closed the door, so it wasn't long until I was up too. The kids were at daycare all day, which takes some organizing in the morning. Schmoo was resistant to go, but happy once she got there. Bean was keen to wear underpants to daycare today - a good sign. I dropped them off at 9am and hit the ground running. Here's the breakdown...

9 - 10:30am Gym - Total Fitness class which now has my hamstrings screaming at me

10:30 - 12noon Home to bake brownies, shower and finalize the details for the accountant (see 4pm)

12noon - 1:00pm Pick up three cases of fresh chicken (45lbs a box, thank goodness I've been working out), drive to the next town (30 minutes) and meet K and Baby A at the airport to deliver car seat and welcome

1:15 - 2:30pm Drive to next town (another 30 minutes) to deliver chicken to an account, end up waiting around 45 minutes because they forgot they were meeting me at 2pm

2:30 - 3:15pm Drive back home with a quick stop at home for a pee and call to Papa to confirm the chicken was delivered successfully

3:30 - 4:45pm Errands in town including a video store pick up and meeting with accountant to drop off tax stuff

4:45 - 5:15pm Pick up kids' sushi, pick up kids from daycare, return home with VERY cranky children and await K and baby A's arrival

The kids' mood perked up when K arrived, but she still got to experience a Bean sized meltdown at bathtime. There was lots of screaming and anger management, but we made it through and everyone settled quickly for bedtime. Both kids were exhausted after a full day at daycare. It was nice to see the kids so excited to see K, since neither of them have seen her since they were babies. They were both excited to show her their rooms and all their stuff. K got baby A settled too and we had pizza and watched Enchanted - the new Disney movie out on DVD. We're having an early night. K is working on a three hour time difference and I'm just exhausted from running around all day.

Side note - Papa made it safely to Cowtown and is likely rockin' out as I type this.

Schmoo's Favourite Parts of the Day
Favourite - seeing Mama's friend K
Not Favourite - none
