Home Day for Nana

A quieter day today. I was up and out with the kids at 8:30am - dropping Schmoo off at preschool and then off to gymnastics with Bean. Neither Cousin I nor our friend F were at class today, but Bean still had a great time running around. He really seems to enjoy walking along the balance beam lately and he can do a forwards somersault all by himself. His teacher made a comment to me today about how far he has come along since he started in January.

Bean and I headed home after class as I was supposed to help Auntie E and take care of Baby R while she went to the doctor and chiropractor. She ended up taking him with her, but stopped by to let me know. She is feeling a bit better today and sounded even brighter when I spoke to her after her appointments. So Bean got a quiet morning at home and stayed with Nana when I went back out to pick up Schmoo. We came home for lunch and then I tucked the kids in for quiet time and went into town to the dentist and a quick grocery shop. Schmoo was up entertaining Nana when I got home and Bean got up shortly afterwards.

The kids were full of energy this afternoon, running around the house. So I herded them outside into the backyard for 45 minutes after their quiet time to run off some of their energy. It's so nice to be able to be outside now. It wasn't really that warm though, so we all had our sweaters on. We had fun throwing the ball for Airlie and the kids ran around the yard. We came inside for dinner and Babar and then I headed out to the gym at 6pm. Before Babar started, Bean managed to snuggle himself up on the brown swivel chair in the front room. All of us tried to impose on his for a snuggle without success. Until, of course, I was ready to head out the door and he started to ask for a snuggle.

Papa was home around dinner time after a long day at work and is spending the evening watching soccer again. I returned home from the gym to a quiet house, but both kids were still awake so I went in to tuck them in. Nana and I had dinner together upstairs - chicken caesar salad and brie on baguette....yum!

That sounds yummy, I believe I will serve my family that same meal tonight!
