The days are getting shorter

but somehow are feeling longer. Next weekend we turn our clocks back so we'll really notice a difference when it's dark out at 4:30pm. For now, the day is over before I know, especially on days like today when I'm working until 3pm. I wasn't supposed to work later today, but with month end coming up this week and Papa's request to leave earlier, I decided to take the kids to school and then work later to get caught up on my work.

The morning didn't start off so well. When I dropped off Schmoo I noticed that half of my keys were missing - including my key to the office. So I spent some extra time driving back to Bean's school to check there and then a bit later on even went home to see if they had fallen off at the house. No luck. So I began the process of asking for a new key to work and calling Papa to have a new key to his car cut as well. Luckily, Schmoo found both keys later when I picked her up from school. They must have fallen off the broken clip when I was loading her into the car. So now I have two work keys and Papa was saved the hassle of a trip to the dealership.

My day passed quickly but I did manage to get out of the office to go to the post office to drop off some packages and pick up a sandwich for lunch. It's a good thing I HAVE to go to the bank every day, otherwise I'm sure I'd never eat on my longer days. The kids were happy to see me and we came home for our usual routine. Spaghetti for dinner and a pass on the bath, going directly to a show on the couch for our little zombies. Papa came home in time for me to go to the gym, but that plan was thwarted as well as the teacher had called in sick. So home I came for bedtime. Bean was especially glad to have me home and even fell asleep in his bed snuggling me. It looks like my luck is changing though as my friend C has called for an impromptu dessert date, so off I go after dinner with Papa.

Great news from across the pond that Grandad has been moved into his new home. It will be nice for Nana to make her way to visit him on her own now. Schmoo said a special prayer for Grandad tonight at bedtime too. You are constantly in our thoughts!
