Papa's home, Papa's home

The weather looked hit and miss today in regards to Papa's flight being able to get into our local airport. Low cloud, rain, miserable weather. But the pilot came through. Bean was the first to spot Papa's plane hit the tarmac and both kids were excited to see Papa come off the plane and through the doors of the airport. Sounds like his flight was long but relatively uneventful (well, otherthan the video screen not working in his section of the plane). We piled the kids in the van and headed off to Boston Pizza for a family dinner. I hadn't eaten all day, having rushed from a busy morning at work to picking up the kids and dropping them off at D's house so that I could go for my dentist appointment. Papa enjoyed a beer, while the rest of us ate. Bean fell asleep on the way home in the warm van but was quickly rejuvenated when we got home and the prospect of Papa's surprises being revealed. They helped him unpack and then I headed into town to pick up a few "things" while Papa put them to bed. Now we're going to settle in for a snuggle on the couch and a movie.
