Both kids love getting their haircut because it means they get a sucker / lollipop afterwards. And today was no different. In fact, when he gets his done at the barber, it means a trip to the candy store to pick a sucker, because the barber doesn't give them out. He was very well behaved while he got his hair cut and put on his usual grumpy face while the barber did his job. Afterwards, he and I had a nice stroll down the main street with a few stops along the way - the candy shop, my hair salon to make an appointment for me, the pharmacy to pick up a few things - before we arrived at the indoor soccer arena to finish watching Schmoo who was there with Papa. She was doing great, chasing the ball around, but you could see her losing her steam and at the end she was pretty tired.
The rest of the day has been pretty uneventful. I had had ambitions of getting Schmoo up to the ski hill, but as I lay in bed this morning, I decided that a morning at home was probably a better bet for everyone after last weekend's marathon of activity and our busy day of birthday parties and Super Bowl parties tomorrow. So the kids enjoyed some leisure time at home and I got a whole bunch of laundry done. Papa enjoyed the afternoon with the kids after soccer as I headed to work to do my month end duties. It went smoothly and here I am at home at 8pm, greeted with a Thai curry made from scratch by Papa and a movie date on the couch!
