The Activities
A home day, today. Auntie E and Uncle R had planned to come in for the day so we stayed home. They didn't arrive until almost lunchtime so we had the house to ourselves for the morning. We had a nice visit / play with cousin I and Mama got a snuggle with cousin R today. Papa came home early from work to work at home as the roads were pretty snowy and slippery. I headed out around 4pm to deliver a chicken rice casserole to a family from my mother's group that just had a baby. I carried on to the gym for my fitness class and then home to trade places with Papa who is gone to soccer tonight.
Schmoo's Favourite and Not Favourite Things
Favourite - seeing cousin I (this is great news for Mama as I think both kids are finally starting to see cousin I's visit as fun time)
Not Favourite - none today
Thoughts on the Day
I was surprised how stir crazy we all started to feel this afternoon, after being home all day. It's nice to have a leisurely start to the day, but I can definitely see the benefit in getting the kids out of the house for at least a little bit during the day. Schmoo is pretty fixated on her new activity of choice - games on the computer - and I want to ensure that she doesn't spend too much time on them. As always, Bean is happy most of the time just setting up his trains and chugging them along.
