The Activities
What a busy day! Kids were up early (as always). Papa was up early too to watch soccer. I rolled out of bed around 8:30am and promptly got myself organized to go skiing for a few hours. Papa and I had talked about it before, so I cruised up to the ski hill for around 10am. I had a great few hours on my own and then came home in time for all of us to go to the pool for Schmoo's friend Z's birthday party. Bean was beside himself when I got home because he didn't want to stay home for quiet time. We had a great time swimming and both kids had fun at the party upstairs later on. Bean ate all his cake, Schmoo did not. All the little girls dressed up in princess clothes, except for Schmoo who chose the unicorn costume. It's so funny to see how much of a little tomboy she is. Bean spent all of the party at the food table, snacking away.
A quiet night that got away from me, so I didn't have a chance to post the days activities until now.

Thoughts on the Day
It felt so great to get out skiing today. I could really notice the difference in my legs, having been to the gym so much this fall. I'm looking forward to getting more ski days in this winter on Fridays when the kids are at daycare. Unfortunately my friends that ski aren't skiing this year because they are either pregnant or have a new baby. Hopefully Papa can get some time in at the hill too, so we can ski / snowboard together at some point.
