The Activities
Not much excitement with the kids today. Papa was up and gone early for a morning of fishing. He came home empty-handed, again. I had a quiet morning with the kids and by 11am we made it out the door to do some grocery shopping. Home for lunch. Papa and I switched off and I headed out to my painting class. The teacher didn't show up (she wasn't aware that she was teaching today!) so I went for "coffee" with a couple of friends who were taking the class too. They drank coffee, I drank my water that I had brought for the class. Home at 3pm to switch off again. Papa drove 1/2 hour to a nearby town to attend a going away party for one of his clients.
Schmoo's Favourite and Not Favourite Parts of the Day
Favourite - seeing their friends C & H. We saw H in the parking lot of Safeway with her mom and then passed C and his dad coming out of the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Not Favourite - no not favourite parts today.
Thoughts on the Day
Not much going on today. I should be thankful for a Saturday with no running around to do with the kids. Schmoo starts soccer again next weekend so our Saturdays will be busier. I sure did miss going to my gym class this morning, but it sounds like Papa had good morning out on his friend's boat. It is easy to get frustrated with the constant disciplining and teaching you have to do with small children. There are so many things to teach them - good manners, kind behaviour, basic rules. By the end of the day, I often find myself exhausted from it all.
