My class was more of an interval class as I got called out 1/2 way through to change Bean's bum. We are making baby, tiny baby steps forward on our potty training journey. I managed to catch him this morning when he was lying in bed and when I opened the door he said "I'm having a poo" so off to the bathroom we went and he did it in the potty. He tried again at the gym but wasn't successful, so waited for his pullup when I was in class. We had a big discussion after I changed him as I didn't have another pullup and he refused to put on the "baby" pullups that the daycare had available. So he went in his underpants and did okay.
We came home for lunch and the kids set up all their stuffies in our room for a 'meeting'. The meeting consisted of them dancing and jumping around on our bed while the stuffies watched. Hilarious! Papa was working from home over lunchtime before he headed out for the afternoon. He was scheduled for a late afternoon golf game with his colleagues and some of their customers so he said good-night to the kids as he left. After lunch we headed back into town for Schmoo's last gymnastics class. Bean and I got to watch her from downstairs and there was lots of free time at the end for her to show me all the things she could do.
Back home for quiet time. Schmoo managed to fall asleep, no doubt catching up from a busy day and late night last night. Bean however, did not. He rummaged around in his room for 1.5 hours, coming out every 15 minutes or so to go for a pee or a poo. I think we had one successful attempt out of six. I tried to wake Schmoo up at 4pm and ended up dozing with her on her bed, only to be awoke by Bean telling me he had peed his pants. The little bugger, there really is no rhyme or reason to his efforts.
Eggs and bacon for supper for the kids and then Babar. They were finishing up their bath when Grandma Lady arrived for her sleepover. She's here for a whirlwind 1.5 day visit to us and Auntie E. The kids were super excited and spent the next hour showing her their things, including the mass amounts of scrap paper that Bean had done little drawings on for her. I put Bean to bed at his usual time and Schmoo has been up hanging out with us since she had a nap this afternoon. They are downstairs having their regular tea party before I tuck Schmoo into bed.
