We moved around a lot today. Up and off to the gym in the morning for class. Schmoo loves going to the gym now that she has a little friend there. I called Auntie E after the gym and we decided to head out there for lunch. I stopped at the junction to pick up sandwiches for lunch on the way. Auntie E and Cousin I were waiting for us on the deck. Cousin I was so excited when we arrived. Baby R was having his nap so we had a picnic out on the deck. Lunch even included a scrumptious chocolate chip cookie that everyone shared a piece of.
After lunch, Cousin I took us on an adventure walk up the mountain on a forest path that Uncle R has built. Grandma Lady would be proud! It even has man made bridges to get across ravines and streams. Schmoo and Cousin I even took a break to pee in the woods. Cousin I is a natural,
Schmoo got stage fright. The kids had fun checking out a big fat worm that was making its way across the road on our way back to the house. It's great to see how fascinated they are with such a simple thing.
Bean had a relatively successful potty experience at Auntie E's house. He came up to me saying he had peed and sure enough he had. When we went in to clean up I could see he was starting some more business so we sat on the potty and had success with a pee and a little poo. I thought it was a great leap forward, but he managed to poo in the new shorts on our way home in the car. One step forward, two steps back.
We made it home to see Papa for a couple of minutes, before he left to go golfing for work. Both kids had some quiet time, but no naps again today. I hope Bean sleeps well and isn't too tired at daycare tomorrow. When the kids got up, we headed into town to do some grocery shopping and pick up some movies for Mama to watch since Papa has work commitments both tonight and tomorrow night. We got home just in ti
me for Babar which gave me time to organize the kids' supper. A big bath and then into bed by 7pm. My evening has been quiet - stir fry for dinner and a movie "The Other Boleyn Girl" which I've been waiting patiently to see on DVD. Tomorrow is a big day as Schmoo has her kindergarden orientation in the afternoon!
